Practical Jeweler Series:
Earwire Intensive

Expand your practical wire working skills and learn how to make your own earring findings. This class will teach you to create five common styles of earwires. Take these basics and run with them, making your earring designs even more unique and one-of-a-kind. Half-hard wire helps you findings maintain their shape use after use, and basic hammering techniques will ensure durability and style. Go on to enhance the quality of your earring designs by incorporating unique, handcrafted earwires.
*No previous wirework experience required.

Supply List
• 3 feet half-hard 20 gauge sterling silver wire
• Two 4mm beads of your choice
• 1 inch round mandrel (film canister or small bottle)
• Fine tip permanent marker
• 12 inch ruler
• Wire polishing pads
• The following items will be available for use in class but bring your own if you prefer:
- Round nose, long round nose, chain nose and flat nose pliers
- Flush cutters
- Wire rounder and needle files
- Bench block and jeweler's hammer
